I am SO GLAD I didn't forget these 10 things when I did a Lake Washington portrait session.

1. Water shoes- either there is sand and mud or sharp rocks and neither of those are great for the sensory experiences.

2. A towel- this one might seem obvious, but if I didn't make a checklist, I'd forget this every time.

3. Bug spray- you might think you're in the clear because most of you will be underwater BUT some of you will be exposed and the bugs will be out!

4. A change of clothes- full new outfit. Socks, underwear, bra, shirt, pants. And remember even if you dry off, you'll still likely be damp so bring loose clothes that will be easy to slip on.

5. Snacks- I ALWAYS recommend bringing snacks because you never know when you'll get hungry.

6. In the vein of snacks, HAND SANITIZER-often times your hands will be in the water....ewe.

7. Comb or wet brush- your hair might get messy from being wet so this will help your hair stay looking nice

8. Gallon of water- or some other container for water to rinse your feet off before putting on clean socks

9. A bag for wet clothes and towels

10. Your makeup for any touch ups!
