Do I need to say more? These are all the things we brought to this magical, ethereal, tea party photoshoot at Discovery Park in Seattle.

  1. Glassware- we got lucky and knew someone who had a ton of thrifted teacups and plates, but you can easily thrift these for as little as $1 per item. We also had some goblet style glasses for punch, but we considered champagne glasses as well. We just chose the goblet glasses instead.
  2. Pillows and blankets- we wanted this tea party to feel comfy and elaborate, so we filled the surrounding space with floral throw pillows
  3. Picnic baskets- obviously we had to have a few picnic baskets because how else are these ladies supposed to carry around their food?
  4. Speaking of food- we had a variety of berries and a baguette. We considered some cupcakes or even a cake, but we had to narrow down the props so the women could actually sit down on the blanket.
  5. Flowers- there aren't many photos with the flowers in them because it was painfully hot that day and the flowers died almost immediately on the drive over. But if you do this on a cooler day, definitely bring flowers.
  6. Mirrors- we originally hoped for a nice hand-held mirror with a beautiful handle, but we couldn't find one that we liked well enough, so we just went with compact mirrors
  7. Books- one of the women pictured had these beautiful, vintage books that we used as well. This turned out to be my favorite prop.
  8. SOMETHING TO PUT IN THE CUPS- we brought pink juice, but completely forgot to use it, so I ended up photoshopping some liquid into the cups in one photo-not pictured.
  9. Candles and candlesticks to add some height to the photos
  10. Parasail- this one wasn't my favorite because the white was so pristine that it didn't match the vibes, but if you had a better color, this would be a great option.
