A few days ago, I got a call from an unknown number..

but sometimes I forget to save people’s numbers so I answered it. It was Mariah from Horseshoe boutique. Who the heck is Mariah from Horseshoe Boutique? Recently I booked a free styling consultation with her at their location in Ballard, Seattle.

I went into it just hoping to find someone who understood fashion and could help my clients build the most beautiful outfit options for their photoshoot, but I left learning much more about client experience.

You can read about that first styling experience on the blog, but this is a different story

So why did Mariah call me out of nowhere on a random Thursday after I hadn’t seen her in weeks? She was calling to say that they got a new sweater in stock with a strawberry on it and she and Rachel immediately thought of me. They hadn’t even put it on the shelf yet. They offered to pull my size and put it on hold for me to come in to check it out at my leisure. I was speechless. I had never had a business call me personally to tell me they had something in stock that reminded them of me. Normally companies just send mass emails that I, along with most other people, ignore. This had a personal touch. I had honestly thought they forgot about me. But no. They were thinking about me. Sorry but I think I’m in love *insert heart eye emoji here* lol.

That’s the difference between luxury and generic retailers. That’s why I upped my game over here at Kylie McKenna Photography. I want you to feel as special as I did when Mariah called me. I want you to know that when I see something that makes me think of you, I’m going to send it your way. From the moment you inquire, I’ll be keeping my eye out for you. Beyond just photography. If you love cooking, you best believe I’m going to tell you about the cooking classes at PCC. If I know you’re into pottery, I’ll be sending you links to new pottery classes that pop up around town. Shit-maybe I’ll join you for one!
